DAY 1

May 24

Travel Day

Begin your journey to Frankfurt, Germany.

DAY 2

May 25

Worms, Germany

After arriving at the Frankfurt Airport in Frankfurt, Germany, our missionary expedition will begin with a short trip to Worms, Germany. At the Diet of Worms in 1521, the reformer, Martin Luther was called to defend his beliefs against the Catholic Church. He refused to recant and was then declared a heretic and an outlaw. This location was pivotal to the Reformation, and many of Luther’s friends and followers of Jesus were martyred due to their belief that God was accessible to all people.

DAY 3

May 26

Eisenach, Germany

In Eisenach Martin Luther found refuge at Wartburg Castle where, in just eleven weeks, he translated the New Testament into German so that ALL people could have access to the scriptures. We will tour the castle and learn more about the reformation here. Along the way, expect to meet and speak to many people who need the love and joy of Jesus.

DAY 4

May 27

Wittenberg and Berlin, Germany

We will then continue into the idyllic town of Wittenberg, Germany. It's here in this town where Martin Luther sparked the reformation that helped advance the Gospel all over the earth. Our time in Wittenberg will include a visit to the Lutherstadt, the spot where Martin Luther nailed his famous 95 Theses and helped forge Reformation Theology. We will not only celebrate and honor the great impact of the former reformation, but also the new coming reformation. There have been many prophetic words about the new coming reformation to the body of Christ, so we believe our visit to Wittenberg is very strategic. In Berlin, we will see evidence of a different reformation via the remains of the Berlin Wall, where on November 9, 1989, Germany began its reunification process and freedom became a reality for the people living in East Germany.

DAY 5

May 28

Herrnhut, Germany

The Moravian prayer movement began in 1727 and lasted for over one hundred years, praying in small groups at one hour increments 24/7. There is still a prayer house in Herrnhut that we will get to visit. The Moravians also became world renown for their missionary work, packing their belongings in a coffin as they departed home, they knew it was unlikely they would ever return home. We will get to hear some of their stories and be inspired to be missionaries no matter what we do and where we go.

DAY 6

May 29

Prague, The Czech Republic

Jan Hus spoke out against the Catholic Church for the selling of indulgences and in July 1415, he was arrested and put into prison. He was asked to recant his views, which he refused and was burned at the stake for heresy. In Prague we will learn more about this man who strongly influenced Martin Luther over a century later.

DAY 7

May 30

Kazanlak, Bulgaria

A flight from Prague will take us to Sofia, BULGARIA, where we will head to the Carmen Gypsy Community in Kazanlak to celebrate with our beloved Roma friends. Be ready to give many hugs and to lavish the love of Jesus extravagantly

DAY 8

May 31

Kazanlak, Bulgaria

Fat Sheep Stew anyone? We will bless the community with a favorite, Fat Sheep Stew, along with bread and watermelon. It will be a full day in the neighborhood, playing games and worshiping with new friends. Expect to see people healed and delivered!

DAY 9

June 1

Kazanlak - Sofia, Bulgaria

Our last morning in Kazanlak will be spent with the widows in the community, with serenading and dancing, it will be a highlight of our trip. We will then depart for Sofia and minister to another community in the city

DAY 10

June 2

Sofia

On our final day, we will start with a tour of Sofia with Georgian Banov. This is the city he grew up in and ultimately escaped communism from. You will get to hear his story firsthand and see what he has overcome. See how his union with Christ has brought healing and joy to him and all he comes into contact with.
